Hello there!
You might be wondering why I decided to spend all this time creating a webpage for you, the class of 2010, and your
families. Well, I'll tell you. You, ladies and gentlemen, are worth it! You are a great group of people and I love working
with, and for, you. I also feel that, since we will be together for two more years, we are all kind of like a family
and you need a webpage that includes everyone and that everyone can visit safely for information and for fun.
Now, let me tell you a little bit about me. I grew up in New Hampshire with my parents and one older brother. I went
to great public schools (kinda' like Springfield) and had a blast! I went to Elmira College in New York for a Bachelor's degree
in Psychology. I then put my degree to work back in New England. I was a behavior specialist and a community counselor in
Massachusetts for a couple of years and then became interested in school counseling. I moved down here with my husband to
get my Master's degree from Villanova University. GO WILDCATS! Now, I'm a school counselor and I couldn't have a better job!
HOBBIES and INTERESTS
When I'm not working I like to be outside, walking, jogging, taking in nature.
I also like to read, play the piano and cook. I'm learning how to play golf, which is really fun and sometimes frustrating,
and I'm slowly improving my skills on the basketball court. Ha ha ha. I love to sing (especially when I'm driving to and from
work) and dance (which I DON'T do while driving.) :)
Things that my students can do, that I WISH I could do: SKATEBOARD, DOUBLE DUTCH, PLAY GUITAR, STEPPING,
MAKE A SOLID 3-POINT SHOT, IRISH DANCING, WIN at VIDEO GAMES and lots of other things!
I enjoy travelling and recently took a six week tour through Europe with my husband, before Anneliese was born. I hope
to take a cross-country trip to see more of the U.S. I love the ocean and try to spend some time every summer on "The Cape"
(Cape Cod, Massachusetts).
MUSIC
I like pretty much every kind of music I've ever heard. My tastes change daily and on the radio I listen to everything
from Q102 to Oldies 98.1 to 94.1 to Classic Rock 102.9. My family is pretty into music and I grew up listening to what my
parents and grandparents listened to: musical soundstracks, choral music, classical, barbershop and oldies. However, I can
remember a time when I was in middle school that my parents and I "butted heads" when I brought home
Motley Crue. They were not impressed.
FAVORITE FOOD
I don't think I have one. It's all good! I love to try new kinds of foods. Since moving to this area, I have had some
really great food including Italian, Indian, Japanese, German, French, Armenian, Cajun, Thai, and of course good old-fashioned
American grub! My biggest weakness is probably warm, chewy brownies! YUM! French fries are also a favorite of mine. I can't
believe they serve them EVERY DAY in the cafeteria. It's a good thing I bring my lunch!
Well, now that you know more about me, take time to explore this website and email me with questions,
comments or suggestions. I'm here for you!
